DHYANA
Once he/she has learned how to concentrate without difficulty (with the closed eyes), their following step will be the one of contemplating the light like a symbol of the eternal thing and the divine thing, and to begin to meditate on that. After some days, or maybe weeks, what will depend on their ability to concentrate, will no longer be he necessary to have a lit candle before you to see the light in their imagination, since he/she will simply have the image with closing the eyes.
Now try to imagine that the light is inside you; places it mentally inside the chalice of a lotus flower, introducing it then inside its own heart. Imagine it placed before an altar inside the temple that represents their own body. Allow it to shine in all their splendor, sending their rays in all addresses, mainly human being with mental sensibility, so that it can take them light, heat and compassion. Think of itself as the payee of the light, the guardian of the temple, and observe the splendor in their heart that is made more and more brilliant, filling with the light all their being. Observe how it throws the suffering and the pain far, replacing them for the happiness, the love and the happiness. Take a bath in this light. Let all his being to wrap.
When the day in that he/she understands arriving that the light in its heart and the divine eternal light is the same thing, it will have achieved the union with her and he/she will know that it represents the truth, the love and God. Certainly, it is not absolutely necessary that meditates about the flame of a candle. He/she will be able to choose that that more it pleases him, for example, the nascent sun or the decline. But if he/she opts for something concrete to begin, when it is advanced in the meditation he/she will be able to choose something abstract, as love, kindness, etc, something that is positive, beautiful, high, ennobling, a topic of light, not of darkness, something that is good him for their awakening and spiritual growth. If you prefer to meditate without choosing a concrete or abstract image, he/she can sit down with the closed eyes. Make some deep breathings and the OM intone.
Try to empty their mind and then accept what is presented in the meditation. Since the concentration and the meditation provide to the man more internal power, we should always be very attentive to observe if one meditates on the attainment of unworthy, destructive or selfish desires. Because in occasions we are not sure about if a desire on which we are centering is we selfish or not, we should always say ourselves: "I only want this if it is worthy of me." In other words, we should be saying "makes you Your will", instead of superimposing our own desire to the highest desire. Remember that, frequently, it happens that getting our desire generates our own damage.
By means of the meditation on the light, the man can reach the interior harmony, the mental tranquility and that internal happiness that it is beyond the simple description and outside of the rational understanding. Next we mention the words of a yogi that Mataji knew in the India: "That happiness that belongs to a mind that has been washed by means of the deep meditation, cleaned of all impurity and it has penetrated inside the being, it cannot be described with words." Let us also keep in mind the words of Sri Ramakrishna, the wise man from the India that expressed: "God is seen when the mind is calm. When the mental seas are shaken by the thoughts of the desires, they cannot reflect to God."
